Nokia reaches deal on future chip sets
Nokia news today from Reuters. Nokia and its number one chip manufacturer have come to an agreement about what types of chips must be needed for the next generation of mobile phones. There is a technology called 4G LTE, and what it means is Long Term Evolution. LTE is a gamble right now because there are two paths mobile networks are going to go. There is the LTE way and the there is WiMax, which is a technology that Sprint is already deploying. What does this mean for Nokia? Well they need to know what types for chips to buy being the largest handset manufacturer in the world.
