Back to the basics Motorola regresses from its heavy, Android headset push with its orthodox-style iXXX iDEN flip phones. The i680 is the ‘specialized’ name, number rather, for the push-to-talk clamshell. Out of Schaumburg, its i680 title may be a tad bit misleading as its superficial features stray from usual. Like the i9, the i680 is pushing the limits of Motorola’s iDEN variations. Not many features of the phone have been officially affirmed, but we can gather pictorially that the gadget is thoroughly ruggedized, as far as my visual perception can manage, due to its army-like color tone suggesting resistive features. No real influence pointing us to when the flipper will be released, but the absent influences pass indifferently.
