| i just got this shaver today and found it very very pleasing as it is doing a perfect job with cutting quite fast and completly cleaning the places where it pases through and its vacuum is taking lots of hair. in todays standards its really cheap and believe me it worths the price. So go for it! |

I was a little sceptical about the hair collection side of things on this trimmer, but I have to say, it works perfectly.
Having had a beard for nearly 25 years, this is the third and best trimmer I have owned. I particularly favour the stubble setting - Being lazy this means I don't have to use it very often.
Also, the charger fits into a standard shaver socket (the last one I had didn't), so even less work to do when it needs charging.
Solid construction - Expecting 10 years out of this one.

improved with added bling

This was bought as a replacement for a previous Turbovac (the T863) from Philips that is suffering from battery charge leak after 5 good years of service.
The new model certainly improves in a few niggling design areas over its predecessor:
o the length certainly does lock, wouldn't move even with serious pressure from my finger to the point of almost bending the plastic
o well over 99.9% of stubble is collected
o the stubble collector now clicks firmly in place - it was a tad loose and came off before when adjusting length ring if u weren't careful
o hardly any stubble gets into the small compartment housing the eccentric drive mechanism beneath the blades as it used to
o u can now use it while attached to the mains if u do run flat, it would only charge before
So, a nice set of design tweaks to an already nifty device that saves a load of short dark (and increasingly white) hairs all over the bathroom. |
