Im 25 and have always wet shaved with Mach3 Turbo and nivea shaving gel. I've just started a new job which requires a clean shaven face every day. This is impossible with a razor as the rashes under my neck are awful, and the collar from my shirt irritates this greater.
So, i scoured the internet for many hours trying to decide which electric shaver would be the best. I saw the Philips HS8040 Shaver in Boots, but at over £100 thought that was far too expensive for something that i didnt know how good it would be. Seeing the HS8040 in Boots however, did allow me to appreciate the flexible head design which i thought would be excellent for shaving around my neck.
So i hit Amazon and found the same shaver for over £30 cheaper!! Bargain!! So i read the stacks of reviews on the HS8060 and was still left undecided. So i tried the HS8040 which had more positive reviews. The only difference between these 2 shavers is the HS8060 stand caters for the moisturiser, while the HS8040 (this one and the one i bought) means you have to pump in the moisturiser by hand... not the chore of the century is it. So, i'd save yourself some money and buy this one!
As always i wet my face with a flannel and hot water to soften the brissles as much as i can, then, following the circular motion recommended in the manual i shaved my face, pressing the moisturiser release button every 10 - 20 seconds or so.
The results are fantastic, and i can DEFINATELY CONFIRM that it IS AS CLOSE AS A WET SHAVE. Buy this shaver, you will not be dissappointed!

I bought this shaver based on reviews on Amazon. I'd been thinking about spending about £100 and wanted a decent shaver. Well I made the right choice and I agree with every 4-5* review on here. Highly recommend this product as I was always buying Gillette razor heads at £10 a time and majority of the time ended up with a rash around my neck, and wearing a collared shirt was uncomfortable. I use this shaver every morning , the battery lasts ages , the Balm is reasonably priced and depending on how many times you push the button for the balm it lasts too.
If your thinking about this product , dont , just buy it. |

| AFTER MANY YEARS OF USING ALL SORTS OF WET SHAVERS THAT WERE ON THE MARKET I NEVER FOUND ONE AS GOOD AS THIS,I DECIDED TO PURCHASE THIS NEW SYSTEM AND I FOUND IT GAVE ME A REALLY GOOD SHAVE WITH THE EXTRA BONUS WITH THE MOISTURIZING SYSTEM GIVES A CLOSE SHAVE WITHOUT ANY SKIN RASHES OR IRITATION.WELL WORTH THE MONEY. |
