BenQ-Siemens P51
The BenQ P51, a high-performance smartphone that fulfils all the requirements of a discerning business user. This cutting-edge technological wizard is the logical extension to BenQ Mobile’s portfolio, combining the latest features of high-end technology development, including an integrated GPS module and WLAN.
The BenQ-Siemens P51 seems as though it may give competition to the popular Palm Treo 700w. Both devices have a similar QWERTY keypad, though the display on the P51 outdoes the 700w by supporting a QVGA (320×240) pixel resolution.
Based on the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, this smartphone is the complete communication device for the busy manager who travels widely. Extensively equipped with the entire bandwidth of today’s indispensable business functions, this compact all-rounder helps organize the working day more efficiently and more flexibly. Because of the integrated GPS module, the mobile can even be used as a navigation device. Clearly laid out routes are perfectly legible, even in poor light conditions, on the large, brilliant QVGA TFT color display (2.83 inches, 240 x 320 pixels). The BenQ P51 will be available with an optional onboard navigation solution.
The P51 includes the usual bag of tricks shared by many Windows Mobile smartphones these days, including quad-band GSM, Bluetooth, and 802.11b/g WLAN connectivity, an SDIO slot, and push email support. The BenQ-Siemens P51 also includes an internal GPS module, making it perfect as a navigation device. BenQ-Siemens is also touting the P51’s compatibility with Skype to provide VoIP services over a WLAN connection while at a hotspot.
